A joint InsiderAdvantage/Trafalgar Group survey conducted May 22-25 shows a true evolution of public opinion during President Donald Trump’s long weekend at the White House dealing with the Iranian conflict. Survey of 800 L/V; Weighted for age, race, gender, and political affiliation; MOE 3.46% Mode Panel/Text

Results:

Q. What is your opinion of President Trump’s handling of the Iran conflict?

Approve: 45%

Disapprove: 55%

InsiderAdvantage pollster Matt Towery and Trafalgar Group’s pollster Robert Cahaly:

We started our survey on Friday and it ran through Monday evening. After the first three hundred samples the approval for Trump’s handling of the conflict, when weighted, looked just slightly better than the RCP average of 39% approve/60% disapprove. As news of a potential agreement continued to break those numbers moderated and towards the end of our survey data collection, with news of some limited military action, the approval for Trump’s handling of the conflict improved substantially. Among age groups the youngest of voters (18-29) disapprove by 68% and the oldest of voters (60 and over) disapprove by 59%. But the other two age groups approve with ages 30-44 approving by 56% and those 45-60 approving by 60%”
