As Americans kick off the summer this weekend, Columbus, Ga. has been rated one of the top spots to spend Memorial Day weekend, according to Southern Living magazine. The Middle Georgia city was lauded for its Chattahoochee River Walk, the National Infantry Museum, and its many restaurants and bars in downtown. We know local Republicans have noticed – the city will host the party’s state convention later next month.
