The Cobb County Board of Commissioners recently approved a $7.8 million extension of the Silver Comet Trail that will bring it all the way to the Chattahoochee River near Smyrna.  From there, a series of smaller trails will connect directly into the Beltline, which is working its own way up towards the river from the other side.  That means that the Silver Comet Trail will soon link directly with Atlanta’s most popular path, connecting it to Cobb, Polk, and Paulding Counties and going all the way to Alabama.  Once complete the path will technically become the longest continuous paved trail in the U.S.!  RISING…
