The University System of Georgia Board of Regents has appointed Stuart Rayfield as the 6th president of Columbus State University, the first woman to hold that title.  Rayfield was previously the vice chancellor for leadership and institutional development at the USG, and before that spent nearly a decade at Columbus State both as a faculty member and in the school’s administration.  She said she is thrilled to return to the Columbus campus, calling the school “the driver of the region’s workforce.”
