The Feb. 5th show begins by discussing DeKalb County finally agreeing with Atlanta to sign a permitting agreement allowing construction of a new police training facility. That morphs into analysis of a good working relationship developing between Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Gov. Brian Kemp when it comes to public safety at the site and within Georgia’s capital. Other topics: Prospects for a 2024 Democratic National Convention in Atlanta; ranked voting; rejection of late House Speaker David Ralston’s widow in a special election; and proposed legislation establishing an oversight panel over rogue or corrupt district attorneys.
