Former state representative and congressional candidate Vernon Jones is facing a massive bill after a U.S. District Court judge ordered he pay $45,000 to a former constituent after he blocked him on Facebook and deleted his posts. Judge Stephen Grimberg ruled that a public figure blocking a constituent constitutes “viewpoint discrimination,” and awarded the man some $8,000 in damages and ordered Jones to pay another $37,000 to cover legal fees. Former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan and ex-Sen. Butch Miller, along with 12 others including “security” personnel, wasted hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on a so-called European “economic study” junket— just two months before the two left office. New Lt. Gov.
