It’s a film arms race in Georgia, and Columbus is making sure it doesn’t get left behind. Catalyst Productions, owned by John Mock, a former U.S. Army captain stationed at nearby Ft. Benning, has partnered with W.C. Bradley Realty to manage the sprawling, 180,000 sq. ft. Flat Rock Studio.  That means Columbus will be able to get its share of the $4.4 billion film industry here in Georgia, and already has an array of movies and tv shows lined up to film this year.  Catalyst recently moved to Georgia from Pennsylvania and Mock says the time is right to put down roots in Columbus, whose “commitment to the arts here in Columbus is as robust as any town,” he says.
