Observers were already skeptical when plans for The Roman, an $800M mixed-use megadevelopment in Clayton County was announced.  Now county officials are outright upset after learning about the $559K in taxpayer funds that were spent just on design plans for a business incubator within the development, which is still very much in the nascent planning stages and hasn’t even received approval.  The developer, Roman United, was found to have a fake portfolio of projects (since removed) on its website, lending more skepticism to the proposal.  Another sketchy situation in Clayton Co. has taxpayers DRIFTING…
