Netflix’s number one show ‘Stranger Things’ brings the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, to Jackson, in Butts County, and with it a surge of visitors.  County officials say an average of 50 tourists per day have come through this summer to visit downtown sites where scenes were filmed, including the historic courthouse in downtown which serves as the Hawkins Library in the series.  And local restaurants and stores have leaned in to the phenomenon, offering t-shirts and souvenirs in a bid to lure in foot traffic.
