Liberty County, just south of Savannah, has leapt headfirst into the state’s booming film industry, being designated as a ‘Camera- Ready Community’ and benefitting from additional tax incentives courtesy of the Savannah Regional Film Commission.  That’s helped the mostly-rural county lure in some major productions, including just in the past year “The Color Purple Musical,” “A Jazzman’s Blues,” “The Menu,” and “Halloween Ends.”  Film production continues to set records across the state, and savvy counties like Liberty have made sure to get in on the action and take advantage of the investment that comes along with the industry.
