This week the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Georgia native Lisa Cook to the Federal Reserve Board, where she will be the first Black woman to become a member.  Cook, a tenured professor at Michigan State University, joins the board at a difficult time – with inflation rates skyrocketing and a recession potentially looming.  She will be tasked with guiding the nation’s monetary policy, hopefully she will make her home state proud.  RISING…
