Felicia Moore, President of the Atlanta City Council, told InsiderAdvantage she will be keeping “an open eye” on the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee meeting today, but adds that she has a number of ideas that she would like to implement to address the crime rate in Atlanta.
“I believe the surging crime rate in Atlanta is on the top of everyone’s mind right now,” said Moore, in an exclusive interview with IAG. “I know everyone — including myself — wants to make sure our city is safe. It is not surprising that the Legislators are looking into this, but I am not sure of their goal. I do hope that what comes out of their meetings will add resources to us as we work on addressing the crime rate in our city.”
