The Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the nation’s top research universities, has selected Bert Reeves as its vice president for Institute Relations. Reeves, a Tech graduate, is a partner in the Marietta-based law firm Smith, Schnatmeier, Dettmering & Reeves. In his new job, Reeves will provide leadership for the Institute’s strategic external relations, including government and community relations and economic development. And since he served until this week in the state House of Representatives representing a portion of Cobb County since 2014, his experience with state government and public policies are a perfect fit for this role.
