While St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah won’t quite be the international affair it would be in a normal year – for one its acclaimed parade is still off – but it will be hosting thousands of visitors and hosting an array of events, while trying to be mindful of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. The newly opened Plant Riverside District is hosting a series of concerts and Irish-themed performances, including the New York Police Department’s Pipes and Drums band to get your authentic bagpipes fix. The Savannah Convention Center is also hosting its own sort of socially-distant parade – a flotilla of ships that will sail down the Savannah River in front of the Convention Center. The city is also putting on virtual events so that people can celebrate St. Paddy’s Day from home, you can see the full schedule HERE.
