H.R. 40 introduced by some Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives would somehow require an undetermined category of whites to pay reparations for past slavery crimes against African-Americans. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a proponent, says it would put the country “on the path to reparative justice.” Georgia football legend Herschel Walker, in House testimony this week, rose in opposition.
