Seven Georgia schools have earned special recognition as Military friendly schools — as part of a program that one state lawmaker says “is absolutely vital, not only to the military children who we gratefully serve, but also to the economic health of Georgia.”
State Representative Dave Belton (R-Buckhead), who serves as Chairman of the Georgia House Study Committee on Military Affairs, praised the schools for their efforts and the Georgia Department of Education for recognizing the schools with the Military Flagship School Award.
