Congress will meet in a joint session today to formally count the votes of the Electoral College. But Ray Smith III, a member of President Trump’s Georgia legal team, says under the Constitution, “it’s improper for Congress to certify Georgia’s results because of a pending lawsuit contesting results of the November 3 election.”

Smith and the Georgia team filed a lawsuit in Fulton County after the General Election claiming that there are tens of thousands of illegal votes in the Georgia election. They have been waiting for a court date, but finally learned Tuesday that a hearing is scheduled to begin Friday morning at 10 a.m. in Fulton County Superior Court. Adele Grubbs, a Senior Judge in Cobb County Superior Court, has been assigned the case.
