After another violent weekend in Atlanta that saw three people shot in Buckhead, residents were concerned to hear the news that Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms ignored an invitation from the Atlanta City Council to discuss the city’s crime-fighting initiatives.  Council President Felicia Moore had requested Bottoms’ presence in a letter dated New Year’s Eve for a Monday meeting, but Bottoms in her response said only that she would make staff available.  Tensions between the City Council and Bottoms, who is up for re-election this year, remain high, and if the city’s violent crime spike continues into 2021 her odds at winning a second term are DRIFTING…
