As pharmaceutical companies move closer to producing a COVID vaccine, Savannah should be proud of the role some of its residents have played in the process.  Dr. Paul Bradley over the summer dosed the first patient in biotechnology company Moderna’s U.S. phase 3 COVID-19 vaccine trial, which if fully approved could have 20 million doses ready to go by the end of the year.  Meanwhile U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter, a pharmacist by trade, has been part of clinical trials for a vaccine, receiving multiple doses already.  Fingers crossed that we are on the verge of a vaccine putting an end to the outbreak, and Savannah’s role in helping us get there has the city RISING…
