A near-decade long gang war is spiking in Dougherty County, and Albany residents are caught in the crossfire.  The feud between the C.M.E. Rattlers and a Bloods-related group in and around Albany has been going on since 2011, but recently has flared up, including a period earlier this month that saw six shootings in a 24 hour period.  Local and state officials, including Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards have been working to curb the issue, but the courts being frozen up by COVID-19 hasn’t helped matters.  Solutions like bringing in the feds and enacting harsher punishments are on the table, but for now a rash of violence has the Albany area SINKING…
