In case you didn’t know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Across the state individuals, businesses, and other organizations are teaming up to raise money and awareness to fight the disease.  Some, like Walgreens, are teaming up with Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta to help raise money for cancer research.  Georgia’s Own Credit Union is partnering with the American Cancer Society to show support via its massive electronic sign atop its downtown Atlanta headquarters.  And Jesup, a town in rural Wayne County, is dying its fountain pink to help raise awareness.  Nearly everyone knows someone affected by this awful disease – and for those working to fight it the ship is RISING…
