Back in the Spring, when New York City faced some of the worst COVID-19 numbers in the nation, (if not the world) Georgia sprung into action, sending first responders to help fight the disease in the nation’s largest city.  Now, months later, NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is visiting Savannah to help return the favor, bringing with him personal protective equipment and testing supplies, as well as the creation of two testing sites, partnering with Somas Community Care, in economically challenged areas of Savannah.  Cuomo also sat in on a roundtable with Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, where they discussed how to slow – and hopefully stop – the spread of coronavirus.
