Farmers in 30 Georgia counties that were hit by severe storms last April are now eligible for federal emergency assistance. U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), who is a member U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, said Wednesday the assistance is available after the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) designated certain counties as disaster areas.
