The Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce this week announced the hiring of Jerald Mitchell as its new president and CEO.  Mitchell, currently the Vice President of Economic Development for the Atlanta Beltline, Inc., becomes the first African American to head up the Columbus business organization, and will begin work on September 1st.  The 136 year old Columbus Chamber has been a fixture in Muscogee County for, well, 136 years, and handing the keys to the well-qualified Mitchell has its future RISING…
