Last year the Georgia legislature passed a bill which legalized the growing of hemp in Georgia.  This year, a follow-up bill, HB 847, provides the framework for obtaining hemp farming licenses, as well as clearing up concerns and confusion as to how law enforcement would be able to distinguish the plant from its still-illegal cousin – marijuana.  Already nine processors and 66 growers have been approved by the state, with more on the way.  State lawmakers working to grow an entirely new agricultural industry in the state has the hemp ship RISING…
