Finally some good economic news from the state Capitol this week, as Gov. Brian Kemp announced that thanks to “reassuring signs of fiscal resilience,” upcoming cuts to the state budget will be lowered to 11 percent, down from the original 14 percent as originally anticipated.  The news should help ease at least some of the burden placed on lawmakers as the try to find ways to cut the budget when they reconvene in Atlanta on June 15th.  For Kemp and co. the reopening strategy appears to be paying dividends for the economy – we are not out of the woods yet but this good news has our economic boat RISING…
