News and rumors are swirling in the aftermath of the Republican decision not to hold its national presidential convention in Charlotte in late August after all. Georgia and several other states are now rumored to be in serious contention, although InsiderAdvantage hears from Washington, D.C., and Georgia sources that the conclave, its agenda and its attendees could now be drastically scaled back to COVID-19 concerns.
Sources also tell us that the World Congress Center and Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta would love to have the convention, along with its welcomed economic impact. In this regard, all Republican members of Georgia’s U.S. congressional delegation yesterday signed and delivered a letter urging that the national convention be held in Atlanta.
