This year the University System of Georgia recognized Valdosta State University’s Jacob R. Bell as the recipient of the 2020 Regent Willis J. Potts Student Advisory Council Leadership Award.  Bell, who recently graduated, served as student body president at VSU for the past two years, and played a key role on on the USG’s General Education Core Curriculum Redesign Task Force, which seeks to redesign Georgia’s core curriculum for the first time in more than 20 years.  Among other honors he was selected to deliver the commencement address at VSU’s virtual graduation ceremony.  Now set to take a job with the United States Small Business Administration, Bell will surely excel in professional life as he did as a student at VSU and as part of the University System of Georgia.
