In a rare bipartisan effort that was spearheaded by U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA), language has been introduced that would offer improvements to the U.S. Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund and allow compensation to be delivered in a “timely and judicious manner.” It is being called a major win for 9/11 widows and children by Isakson, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) who worked together to get the language changed.
