Talking to reporters on Tuesday as he looked ahead to a possible Supreme Court decision in the Florida-Georgia water wars, Governor Nathan Deal expressed his disappointment that the issue had not been resolved earlier. The legal issues have been ongoing for years but Deal and his counterparts in Alabama and Florida have separately been trying to find a solution. He thought they were close at one point. “I thought we were going to get it done, but we didn’t, and I regret that.” Deal blamed outside advisors in the other states urging their governors not to agree.
