Relatively few voters went to the polls for the first day of early voting Monday in Fulton and DeKalb counties. That may be because many voters remain undecided in the race to become Atlanta’s mayor.
According to the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, only 1,620 voters cast ballots early in the first day of voting. That represents all early voting sites around the county, and it is for all races in the county.
DeKalb recorded only 153 ballots cast Monday for both the Atlanta race and other races across the county.
