With scenes from the 2014 “Snowpocalypse” dancing in their heads, Georgia officials – from the governor to the Department of Transportation – aren’t taking any chances.

Having the eyes of much of the national media in town for a football game called the Super Bowl is not making things any easier. By the time some readers see this, there may be some puddles on the ground in Atlanta – or there could be an inch or two of snow. Enough to shut down state offices in 35 counties and cancel schools and other activities? Apparently.
