Lawyers representing both a former and current Georgia Gwinnett College student this week filed an appeal of a federal district court decision that ruled their First Amendment free speech claims became moot after the college modified its speech restrictions. Attorneys for the Alliance Defending Freedom argue that the ruling especially fails to address whether GGC violated Christian student Chike Uzuegbunam’s constitutionally-protected rights when it repeatedly silenced him.
