Amidst all the furor of jet fuel sales tax talk this year (see: Delta, NRA, Casey Cagle), what might have been overlooked was the suspension of the collection of local jet fuel sales taxes altogether by Department of Revenue. The changes were announced on Friday and are a result of new regulations from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The funding will be drawn from the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and was already included in the FY2018 budget.
