Believe it or not, there are still regular political issues ongoing besides the Georgia elections. The U.S. House of Representatives is doing its best to keep regular order, amidst a resigning Speaker and some possibly tense elections in November. Part of that order included today’s passage of the House Appropriations Committee’s 2019 Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill, which included $49 million for the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project (SHEP).
Georgia Rep. Tom Graves (R-14), one of two Georgia congressmen on the committee, voted in favor of the measure – which will now go to the full House for consideration.
