No one has made any official announcement but if we look back at the end of the week, you might be able to call this Transit Week. Or at the very least maybe March will be Transit Month. Either that or a lot of Georgia politics watchers hoping for a transit push will be very disappointed.

On Wednesday, the group Advance Atlanta is hosting a “Rally for Transit” to show support for a comprehensive transit expansion in metro Atlanta. The event is a happy hour for transit supporters, community leaders and elected officials to “mix and mingle” near the Capitol as the General Assembly is currently negotiating over two potentially game-changing bills that would impact the future of transit in Georgia.
