The sponsor of a bill that proposed a programmatic transfer of the state CTAE (career, technical, and agricultural education) program from the Department of Education to the Technical College System of Georgia, announced Thursday that he was pulling the bill from consideration for the remainder of this session.

“The ultimate goal is to do what’s best for the students of the state of Georgia,” said House Appropriations Chair Terry England (R-Auburn). “I have decided not to push the bill this session. We need to take some time this summer to re-look the bill and make sure everyone understands the intent, as well as the dynamics, of this bill.
