Issues involving rural Georgia have been on the minds of Georgia lawmakers for the past several months.  Many have long spent hours and hundreds of miles traveling across the rural counties of the state, stressing their focus on rural areas and looking for ways to ensure more reliable Internet connectivity, innovative economic development initiatives, improved healthcare opportunities, and better infrastructure.

Education in Georgia’s rural county should also be a hot topic this year — according to the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education’s  2018 Top Ten Issues to Watch — which was released last week.
