U.S. Sen. David Perdue speaks on Appalachia Initiatives

Despite the near constant attention from the national media on President Trump’s daily actions, tweets or photo ops, there is some regular order happening in Washington D.C. The Senate and House are more or less moving along as “normal.”

On Wednesday, Senator David Perdue (R- GA), along with Senators Joe Manchin (D- WV), Mark Warner (D- VA) and Thom Tillis (R- NC), released the recommendations from a partnership with the Bipartisan Policy Center’s (BPC) Appalachia Initiative to boost prosperity and economic growth in the region. Also worthy of note is the first word in this particular think tank – “Bipartisan.” Judging from much of the media, this may seem impossible (although recent debt ceiling deals may qualify).
