States Attorney Marilyn Mosby of Baltimore– notorious for prosecuting six of her city’s police officers on the flimsiest of criminal charges after riots there, and then seeing juries free three while dropping charges against the other three– is fishing in Atlanta’s Democrat political waters. Mosby will be in Atlanta on August 10th to raise money at the Zucot Gallery to pad her campaign coffers.

Disclosure of the host committee (individual donations to be a host are $6,000) is raising eyebrows.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed is on Mosby’s committee, as are Henry County District Attorney Darius Patillo, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard and the Rev. Raphael Warnock of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church. No surprises there, according to political insiders. But a rare white host is state Rep. Stacey Evans, D-Smyrna, who is running for governor. Her advisors are no doubt telling her to shore up support from anti-police leftists as she campaigns against black Democrat primary opponent Rep. Stacey Abrams.
