“There should be no sanctuary cities and counties in Georgia for illegal aliens,” Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren tells InsiderAdvantage on the eve of today’s 11:00 am downtown Atlanta press conference scheduled by state Sen. Josh McKoon, R-Columbus. The lawmaker plans to join Warren and others seeking to end the permissive practice, which encourages illegal aliens to evade authorities as they attack and even murder innocent U.S. citizens like 32-year-old Kate Steinle in the sanctuary city of San Francisco.

Atlanta as well as DeKalb, Fulton and Clayton County have established permissive policies that provide “welcoming” refuge to immigrants by banning local law enforcement from coordinating with federal Immigration Control and Enforcement (ICE) authorities on checking immigration status and not honoring ICE jail “holds” on dangerous criminals.
